  1) What is the BBC's mission statement?  defined by​​ Royal Charter ​: to act in the public interest, serving all audiences through the provision of impartial, high-quality and distinctive output and services which ​inform,  educate ​and ​entertain​.   2) How is the BBC funded?  Its work is funded principally by an annual television licence fee which is charged to all British households, companies, and organisations using any type of equipment to receive or record live television broadcasts or watch using iPlayer.   3) What must the BBC do to meet its public service broadcasting responsibilities?
